Natural(Homemade) Skin Care Recipes

Natural skin care recipes, that most of us have in our Kitchen/Pantry… and we didn’t even know it.

Let’s face it; we all can’t have perfect skin. And I’m not saying we don’t try, oh boy do we try! (I know I do)  With buying anything and everything that says it will magically fix are problems or when a friend says

‘Hey there’s this new product that my friend told me worked for her long lost cousin’

And then we go running out to the store to pick it up lol. I’m not saying it won’t work, but I know for my friends and myself. That with most skin care products, it goes good for a few weeks and it looks like my skin is clearing up then all of a sudden it doesn’t work anymore for me. sad but true.

Maybe because in my house we lean towards looking for natural remedies for everything and anything, also maybe because my mother is a Natural Health Consultant that I find myself looking for natural skin care products and recipes?  So… anyway on to the point of this post, here are some recipes that I found works for me and that I love.

Hope it helps y’all some! Also if y’all have any Natural recipes, don’t be shy, post a comment or e-mail me and let me know :D

  • 1 T Applesauce
  • 1 T Wheat Germ

  • 1 avocado, mashed
  • 1 carrot, cooked and mashed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons honey

To Make: Combine all ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
To Use: Spread gently over your face and neck, and leave in place 10-15 minutes.  Rinse with cool water and follow with your favorite toner.

This mask combines avocados, which are rich in Vitamin E, with carrots, which are high in beta-carotene and antioxidants, and cream, which is high in calcium and protein.  These ingredients will rebuild skin collagen, improve tone and texture, and fade age spots.
