Easy DIY Lipstick Palette

Here’s a fast DIY idea for anyone who wants to make an easy lipstick palette, for wicked cheap.

It’s pretty much as simple as it can get, for way less than buying a lipstick palette to de-pot your lipsticks in to, and one of the best things is that you only have to use about 1/3 of the lipstick tube and you also still get to have the lipstick to carry with you if you don’t want to carry the whole palette.

Also I just love palettes because you get to see everything a glance and I just really enjoy just looking at all the colors. It just puts a smile on my face.

Anyway tell me what you think, or if you have any cool ideas for storage, I’ll love to hear/see them.

Now onto the fun...

Children Water-Color Paint Palette $1.50 at my Dollar+ Store

If you put the Palette somewhere cold it's easier to pop them out, all I did was place them into my window and let it sit for 5mins and flapped it over and they fell right out without much of a fight

(Here's the paint, I give them to my younger sister who paints, i'm more then sure she'll do something cool with them)

Don't Forget to Clean them VERY good, even if the Paint says non-toxic. Remember your putting your cosmetics in them and are going to be using them on your face/lips/eyes

91% Alcohol does the magic trick for getting them nice and clean, and don't forget to dry them

Now that their all ready for your lipsticks, let start the fun part

Having a clean space to de-pot your Lipstick is always best, I Cleaned my Vanity, and placed a piece of printer paper on top, making it easy to trash once it's dirty, it's easy to just place another one on the vanity and move onto the next lipstick.

Twist the lipstick all the way up and cut the top half off with a toothpick is the easiest way to go and better then a knife since the toothpick has no ridges to cause the lipstick to become uneven.

Now just scrap the lipstick out of the bottom of the tube and mix around on a palette (I used my stainless steel makeup palette, it’s easy to clean and makeup doesn't stick)

After you whipped the lipstick somewhat, place into palette.

Now take the top half you cut off and place back into the tube and twist back down ( just like new)

Then label the back with the name and brand

ALL DONE, I still haven't clean around edges, but this is the finish product. Easy, Fun, Cheap, & gets the job done!
let me know what you think! also if you tried this out send me pictures, i'll love to see them :)

Peace n' Love<3
