ELF Acne Fighting Foundation Review

Hey y’all!

So here’s another ELF product I’ve been trying out so I could do a review for y’all and also to try out for myself;  an acne fighting foundation for so little cost, you know I had to give it a go, and see if it works.

Now I have mild acne (thank God!), which only  gets kinda bad around that oh so wonderful time of the month we ladies love so much lol but any acne is bad acne, and you know we’re still going to wear our makeup so… why not try out a foundation that supposedly helps out with our acne.

The Price is $6 for 1.0 fl oz (30mL) of product, which is cheap, so giving it a try only seemed like the right thing to do haha, and I like trying out makeup.

Once again I bought two shades, (Sand and Caramel), and as I’ve said before swatches are always a little iffy with me when it comes to picking out foundation, when I can’t try it beforehand.  Sand sadly is to light for me, but maybe I’ll just use it as a highlighter or concealer, I’ll find something for it!

What their website/box says about their product: This lightweight acne fighting foundation works to disguise redness, blemishes and uneven skin tone. The flawless coverage foundation formula is infused with acne fighting key ingredients Salicylic Acid, Witch Hazel, Camphor, Tea Tree and soothing Aloe, to help prevent and treat acne blemishes.

Things I like:
·         The foundation is  very lightweight, and I forgotten more than once I was wearing it, no lie
·         The coverage is  around medium with some buildup,  but you’re going to have to place a little more on blemishes
·         It looks very natural
·         The package is cute,  and it has a very nice nozzle, which helps control product flow so you don’t waste any
·         The price is great
·         It’s easy to apply
·         It has some of my favorite ingredients for skin care; Witch Hazel, Camphor, Tea Tree, and Aloe

Things I don’t like:
·         Had to touch up my T-Zone, after a few hours, buts that not really a big deal
·         The label was way too tiny once again, I’m just hoping sooner rather than later they fix this small problem, and again I wish they printed the expiration date on the product not they box, but at least this time they had some ingredients listed on the bottle, we’re getting there ‘all lol

Note: I didn’t really see anything different with my acne, but the foundation is still good if you just want a lightweight foundation with medium coverage that won’t irritate your skin or make it worst, I’ll keep y’all updated if this changes.

Overall Rating:  4.5/5
Because I feel it didn’t really help with my acne as it says, but I’m going to give it some more time, with treating my acne, hopefully it works, so I can give it a 5/5.

Question: Do you have a favorite acne fighting foundation, or better yet… do you believe in acne fighting foundation?

Peace and Love <3
