ELF Smudge Pots Review and Swatches

Hey y’all! First let me say; I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA lately, I’ve been super busy, and haven’t made the time to post as much as I would like too, but hopefully after this week, I’ll have more time to post!!!

So today’s post is a review, with swatches on ELF’S Smudge Pots, I know people have posted about them for some time now, but I wanted to add my two cents on them, I’ll also be doing a Beauty Arena with Maybelline Colors Tattoos,  so keep an eye out!

First of all, these little pots, pack a pretty big punch for their price, and more then pays off with their pigmentation.

They come in clear thick plastic jars, with white tops; I really like how the jars are clear so I can see the colors at a glance, makes doing my makeup a breeze. The texture is super creamy, and with one swipe you pick up a lot of products, so beware! Also you have to move somewhat fast when blending, as it can dry pretty quickly, but after around two times using it, I mastered it. yay!

The Price is $3 each for 5.5g/0.19oz, that’s a lot of product for so little cost! And since ELF is always having some kind of sale, I got mine for 50% off that’s $1.50 each!!!

What their website/box says about their product: This smooth gel formula glides on perfectly. Use it as a long-lasting eyeshadow or eyeliner! Enriched with Vitamin E to nourish and hydrate the delicate eye area.

Things I like:
·         Very pigmented
·         A little goes along way
·         Lasts around 5 hours without primer on my lids
·         Easy to build up
·         The texture is nice and smooth, and creamy for most of them
·         The package is ideal for storage
·         The price is great

Things I don’t like:
·         it dries fast, so blending is a pain until you get used to working with it
·         Not all the colors have the same pigmentation or texture, some have little pigment or the texture comes off  as chunky (Pearls of Wisdom, Ain’t that Sweet)
·         not enough colors to pick from
·         this is a ongoing thing for as I think ELF has sucky labeling on their products

Overall Rating:  4/5

Peace and Love <3
