Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Review

Today’s post, is on the oh so talked about Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars, I know they’re not all that new, but I've only just gotten around to buying some test tub sizes a few months ago, so their new to me.

didn't want to go ahead and buy a full size tube of one color, that I might not even like, but since I saw that they come in test sizes, which is more than enough for me, for I don’t ever seeing myself using a whole tube of the full size, as a little goes along way with these babies, I thought it was great time to try them out.

I think they’re really smart for having smaller sizes, as it makes it cheaper when trying new Colors, & Finishes, I wish other brands would pick this idea up, because to be honest I hardly ever hit pan on makeup products.

The Price: Lip Tar Primer, Lip Tar Matte, & Lip Tar Metallic $18 full size 33oz of Product, or Test Tube Set; $19 for 0.08oz of product of x3 tubes one Primer, one Matte, and one Metallic

What their website/box says about their product:

·         Lip Tar Primer is a triple threat that preps and primes the lips as well as maintains hydration during wear time. Made from a blend of essential oils, LIP TAR: PRIMER not only prepares the lips for LIP TAR™ application, it also revitalizes the look of LIP TAR™ during wear.
·         Lip Tar Matte A liquid matte lipstick with unparalleled pigment intensity and wear time. Only the smallest amount is needed for opaque coverage.
·         Lip Tar Metallic Infused with state of the art hi-resolution metallic pigments, the unparalleled opacity of Lip Tar has gone high-voltage with an intense shimmer finish.

They come in clear thick plastic tubes, with white tops, that covers its nozzle opening, I like how they have them in clear tubes so we can see the colors at a glance, The texture is like a thick lotion like liquid or tar like if you will lol, and with only a small drop it’ll cover both lips for most people, a little goes along way, and you don’t want to waste it, so beware when applying it too the lip brush, (comes with their #010 Precision Brush)which it comes with, also don’t over apply it as it will cause sliding from the lips. I always line my lips then apply just a small amount and it last me around 3-4 hours on a normal day with drinking

Things I like:
·         Very pigmented
·         A little goes along way
·         Lasts around 3-4 hours without touch-ups
·         Easy to build up
·         The texture is nice and smooth, and creamy for most of them
·         Their 100% Vegan and Cruelty free
·         The packaging is cute
·         The price is great when buying the test tube sizes
·         The primer works pretty good, but I don’t use it often
·         A lot of colors to pick from

Things I don’t like:
·         The packaging is cute, but a pain to carry in my bag, as I have to carry the brush with me, and when I’m out and about I don’t want to go though the trouble
·         The price is fine when buying the test sizes, I most likely wouldn't buy the normal size, unless I absolutely fell in love with a color, as I wouldn't ever finish one

Overall Rating:  5/5
