Ramadan Routine & Tips 2016

Salaams, and Welcome Everyone!

Blogger Note/Update: Long time, no post huh guys. I feel so bad about it too, and I’m so sorry. I’ve just really haven’t had anytime to write. And I’ve been thinking about maybe changing the blog up some; like with a new name, that will get me out of the “beauty only box scene thingy”, and over all changing the diction some, like maybe making it a lifestyle blog, where I can talk about all the different things I enjoy, and would like to share with y’all. Which also will still include beauty, so no worries there lol, I just want to add some new content to my blog, and I feel I have a lot to share. Yeah that’s that.

Okay onto the post now!!!

Like the years before, I’ve posted about some of my Ramadan Tips, and also shared my Ramadan Routine with you guys, and with trail, and error, and finding things that works better for me. I’m sharing my update routine, and plan for Ramadan 2016!

Hopefully something in this post will help you, or just give you some ideas Insha’Allah

My Ramadan Tips:

Setting Goals- We know Ramadan is the best time to change our life around for the better, and getting back on track with our deen. So start off with making your intentions clear, and asking Allah (swt) for guidance and mercy.

Now be realistic and honest with yourself and ask what you want to get out of this month? It could be something small, or something big. Just set some goals, and try your best. Because Ramadan is the best time to do so.

Here are some ideas of goals a lot of people have; Breaking a bad habit, or Starting a good habit, Waking up for Fajr on time, Learning more Qur’an, Reading more Qur’an, Going to the Masjid more, or making a habit of eating better.

Schedule- Try making a tentative schedule/plan/layout of  how you want your day/month to go, this helps me with keeping on track of my goals, and staying focus and helps me get things done in a timely manner, this year I made a planner insert, it's a daily check list to help me along the way, i'm putting a Free download link, for anyone who may want it. my gift to you! Ramadan Goal Checklist and Ramadan Salah Tracker

It's for personal size planners, but you could always change it up to work for you. also cut along the redline, and hole punch and it's ready to go! oh, and one more thing... the Salah Tracker is a fold able insert, so if it looks big to you no worries!

Menu- In my family we always make a food menu, and buy everything we need at the start of the month, so we never have to think about what we’re making for Suhoor/Iftar, and it helps saves us time to do more important things, rather then food shopping and things like that

Suhoor- There’s blessings in eating the suhoor, so try hard not to miss it, also try eating better food not more! it’s not about how much you eat, it’s about what you eat, getting a meal that’s has more protein, and that’s going to burn thought-out the day, is better in the longer run, then eating a big meal with tons of sugar, with little to no protein, that’s not going to really help.

Iftar- I find with us Muslim our eyes are always bigger then our stomach. So keep in mind after a few days of fasting your stomach is going to shrink, and you won’t be able to eat as much, and also remember its Sunnah to break your fast with dates, and water.

Water- Yup! Water is awesome, and it’s going to be your best friend, you’re going to want to drink lots of it, during the morning before starting your fast, and during the nights, to help keep your body hydrated.@
Sleep- I know a lot of us are going to be up late, and up early praying, but remember your body has rights over you, so try to get sleep when you can, and if you can… try sleeping between Dhuhr and Asr as it’s blessing in doing so. Oh yeah, can you say nap time!

Exercise- Try moving your workout session, an hour or two before Iftar (or however long you take, to workout) leaving yourself time to shower, this way by the time you’re done with it all, it’s already time to break your fast (my brothers have been doing this for years, and it works out a lot better than working out after Taraweeh)

Keeping Busy- By keep yourself busy with little lightweight tasks during the day, it helps to keep your mind off of the time.

Good Deeds- But most of all Read Qur’an, and Pray more, give Zakat, Smile, Help others, and increase in doing good deeds, as we all know, Ramadan is full of blessing, and as I like to call it “a month full of double Jeopardy’s”
